teeth brushing update

Horrible nap day

Horrible.. just HORRIBLE!

Nathan woke up today around 7AM

got sleepy around 9, so I put him to bed

but he didn't sleep, he played for about 30 minutes

then started crying...

so I took him out and decided we'd try one nap at 11AM instead of 2 naps today

so at 11, he goes to bed without a fight,

I relax, eat breakfast, thinking he'd sleep at least 2 hours

but NOPE! 1 hour 15 minutes later he's awake

3 hours later, which was 3:15, we attempt a 2nd nap

and once again, 30 minutes of playing and then crying

I don't know what's going on because when his daddy was home he'd take a 3 hour nap

plus another 1 hour nap!

:(

in other news, N has a new snack he loves:

fruit Crisps.. i bought them from costco

they come in 3 varieties:

fuji apple

asian pear

banana & strawberry

yummm

Today was a good day, I slept a full 8 hours and did some laundry

Nathan's first nap was only 30 minutes, I don't know why..

maybe it's time to go from 2 naps to 1 nap

I'm not ready for that, I like his first nap

because it gives me time to eat breakfast

and wake myself up to take on the day

and even get ready for the day if we're going somewhere.

So today, N woke up around 7:45, and was sleepy again by 9:30

this is what he does when he's sleepy:

he takes his lovey (Andy) and rubs it against his ear

sometimes he grabs his love & paci, comes to me and says "NaNa"

as in.. Nappy Time

when he woke up he had his snack (cantaloupe & juice)

From 2010-04-10

Today, we went to the Korean market and picked up some goodies for myself

I had a lot of kimchi left over that was getting too ripe

so my Grandma suggested I make a Kimchi, mackerel stew type thing

It's something I enjoy eating so I made it.

We also went to Babies R Us and bought a new hi-tech thermometer (plus 20% off!)

some fruit squeezes that N is obsessed with and a baby toothbrush/toothpaste

I'm going to start brushing his teeth tomorrow

(we'll see how that goes)

So anyway, going back to the title of my post...

if you're interested that is...

during dinner (towards the end)

N started pooping

so I take him out of his high chair and immediately remove his pants

because he had a bunch of food all over himself.

I put him down to change his diaper

and I see poo coming down the side of his leg and out his diaper!

eww I almost barfed

I took him to the bathroom & sat him on the toilet to remove his diaper

he had the most confused look on his face while he sat on the toilet!

I wiped him a few times then hosed him down in the shower

he hated that part and screamed

so that was our poo-splosion

Nathan & Daddy

I haven't blogged in a while, and I apologize for that...

It's been a crazy week of forgotten exams (3 of them!)

lots of poops (3-4 a day)

and just being tired/stressed

This is a picture from the morning that my husband left for his tour.

nothing special.. no edits.. just pure love

I haven't taken much pictures since Steve left,

Although I had a great opportunity today when I took N to the park

but of course, I forgot my camera boo!

morning #1

Good morning all~

it is morning #1 of this deployment

the first of many mornings where I will wake up alone...

and Nathan will not be able to say "Good Morning" to his daddy.

It seems we both had quite the rough night

Nathan woke up several times, with a 30 wake-up around 5:45AM

I couldn't fall asleep until 2AM..

but Nathan didn't end up waking up until 9AM

(or at least that's when I heard him.. oops!)

also, I noticed his heater was off.. which may be why he woke up around 5:30.

he must have been cold! yikes! sorry baby

No pictures for this post, I'm relax until Nathan's nap then take care of some errands

and wait patiently for a call from my husband.

oh and homework bleh~

Dog poop.. ewww

So I just spent the last, oh hour cleaning up dog poop. Our little doggie, Sammy:


he decided he would poop in our apartment.
and he had some sweet timing~
you see, I had our Roomba scheduled to start cleaning at 11AM,
so apparently, Sammy pooped sometime between the time we left the house: 9:30AM and 11AM
Would you like a visual description of what happened?

It wasn't pretty.
I wasn't pretty...
as I steam vacuumed the entire living room, the poo stain, and wiped down the entire Roomba (which stank!)
Sammy got the stink eye from me the entire night.
Now I have some homework I need to get done (a mock tax return.. blech)
wish me luck!

Marriage: year 3

Well...here we are, beginning our 3rd year of marriage.

Yet, something is missing... something big, something important.

That is.. my husband.

He is now away for his deployment to Iraq.

He's not in country yet, but he's gone.

and I'm at home with my 14 month old son.

I know this is going to be hard 400 days,

but I'm going to try my best to stay strong and be the best mom I can be to my son.
